Book Worm Treats

I saw this "bag of bookworms" on www.pinterest.com so last week I decided to make my own.

Here is what I came up with: I found some clip art drop it into a word document and typed the teacher's name, made each "tag" 2 inches tall so when folded it would be 1", printed the "tags" out on Kraft paper cut out each "tag" and filled little zip-lock baggies (I picked these up at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry section) with sour gummy worms, folded the baggie over and placed the "tag" over the top and stapled the "tag" to the top of the baggie.

The teacher and aides were thrilled about these. A nice little treat for Hamilton's kindergarten class.

Whew! What happened to Monday!?!

OMG! Monday just flew by (did you feel it?)! Before I knew it today it was 930, 1030, Noon, 200, then time to pick up the boys and I still had errands to run - ugh! Well, I managed to get every thing squeezed into today, plus a workout!! Yeah me!

I went to Zumba class. Anyone who thinks dance is easy, breezy never tried salsa dancing or a try-out for "Dancing with the Stars". I found out just how uncoordinated I was....I took dance for 4+ years, but have been out of dance for almost 20! Yikes!! [I'm getting old :( ] I'm glad I went and I'll go back on Thursday. I'm sure after a few more weeks I'll get the hang of it. (Ya right!) Anways, it was fun and I did have a good time, plus I didn't fall down on my rear, so that's a good sign.

Hope you all had a lovely Monday! Sweet Dreams and wishing you a Terrific Tuesday!

Life Changing

Well, I haven't gone a very good job of keeping up with this. I logged in today and was surprised to find I had "followers".

Well, this has been one crazy week. Monday was a holiday. Tuesday and Wednesday was pretty normal, as far as Hamilton went to school. Tuesday I actually cleaned the house. I haven't felt like doing anything for months. I think I've been really depressed... After cleaning for a bit I went out to Scott's work and we had lunch together. Then I had to run some errands. Then cleaning a little bit longer before going to get Ham and his friend from school. That pretty much ends my day once Ham is home - it's all about him and getting his stuff done before his 7 o'clock bedtime.

Wednesday was kind of the same as Tuesday, cleaning and then get the boys from school.

Thursday however has changed our life forever. Thursday was to be a bad weather day. Scott has to be at work by 5 every morning, so he leaves here about 4:20 every morning. Apparently the same time he left was the time that the water on the ground from the rain over night decided that it was just about right for it to start freezing. He had locked his wheels into 4-wheel drive but didn't shift the truck into 4-wheel as he said he didn't feel the roads getting slick or anything. Well, about the time he was cresting over the hill the truck started fish-tailing, he tried to compensate but it was too late. He threw his arms up over his head and said "hear we go" as he rolled once. Something hit him in the back of the head, he rubbed his head and threw the floor mat that had become tangled in his legs off of him, while thinking I've got to keep my hands up where they are, so my arm doesn't fly out the window and get crushed. As he rolled for the second time he's still thinking about his arms and staying in the truck.

He's very fortunate and we are very lucky that he walked away from this crash with a bruised shoulder. That's all - just a bruised shoulder! God was with him!! Look at the passenger side, completely caved in. The windows are all busted out and the welds on the top of the truck have been broken, but the top stayed on and Scott was held in the triangle part of the truck that developed when it rolled. This could have been the worst day of my life, instead it's just a little bump in the road as to what we will do about a second car, but at least he's alive and things are going well. He's just been really, really tired. But he's in good spirits and acts like his regular self.

So life is getting back to "normal" and hopefully next week will be completely back to normal-ville as this week I've discovered that I really don't like changes to my little world.

Business Ad!

Ah-where to start....last week my mom was in town for a week's visit!! It was so great to have her here and she got to see Ham start "BIG" school!! The first couple of days were tough...he cried...today is one week - he did Great - we got to school, went inside, he finished up his pop tart, gave me TONS of sugarhugs before letting me go, but no tears - and that's a Plus!!

This morning in my in-box was our local paper - I have an online subscription. I'm reading through it and to my surprise I see my business ad!! Ahhhh - I want to get my admin business going, but I didn't know that the ad would be in today's paper!! I'm a little scared about this adventure :) If I hadn't happened to go into the shop that the newspaper is run out of - this ad wouldn't be in the paper today...sometimes you just have to jump in with both feet and see what happens!

Looking forward to what will happen....wish me luck!

This is new for me...

This morning I woke up thinking of a FB cousin who all week in their post - asked if it was Friday yet? I couldn't wait to get up and respond to them that today was FRIDAY!!
And since I was up I got the Wii out and ran for 27 minutes - that's a BIG stretch for me as I don't do workouts and get sweaty (uh - gross!) Then I got ready for the day (as you never know what the day will bring, as my mother always use to tell me when I lived at home). I made my son (aka Bone) eggs for breakfast, unloaded the dish wash, cleaned the dirty dishes, loaded the dish wash again and have started on the laundry. I'm pretty proud of myself today! And it's it all about the small accomplishments that you make each day?!?

So what have you done today that you are proud of?
